I am an award-winning documentary editor, director and producer whose work focuses on social justice issues.

I am currently editing the documentary feature My Ascension about Emma Benoit, a teenager living in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, who is paralyzed by a suicide attempt at the age of 16.  Even as she struggles to regain the use of her legs and walk again, Emma becomes a suicide prevention activist, working to save the lives of others.

I have been the editor on numerous internationally acclaimed films.  My most recent editing project, When We Walk, produced by AXS Labs, is a documentary feature chronicling director Jason DaSilva's relationship with his young son amid his continuing struggle with multiple sclerosis, as well as his attempts to navigate the nation's healthcare system.  When We Walk premiered at HotDocs in 2019, won Best Documentary at CAAMFest 2019 and was selected for the Human Rights Watch Film Festival 2019. Previously, I edited Cooked, produced by Toxic Comedy Films and directed by Judith Helfand.  Cooked is a documentary feature about the 1995 heat wave in Chicago that killed 739 people.  It premiered at DOC NYC in November 2018.  Vessel, a documentary feature produced by Sovereignty Productions and directed by Diana Whitten, premiered at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Award for Political Courage and the Audience Award.  It was shown to over 300 international audiences, including the 2014 Sheffield Documentary Film Festival, where it was the winner of the Peter Wintonick Award; the 2014 Telluride Mountain Film Festival, where it won Honorable Mention for the Moving Mountains Prize; and the 2014 Nantucket Film Festival, where it was the winner of the Adrienne Shelly Excellence in Filmmaking Award.  It had its theatrical release in 2015.

I was the editor of the Academy Award-nominated Chicks in White Satin, and I was an additional editor on When I Walk, which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, kicked off the 2014 POV season, and won an Emmy Award.

I received a MFA magna cum laude in Film Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where I received the Phi Kappa Phi award and the Distinguished Scholar Scholarship.  I received a BA in English Literature cum laude from Middlebury College and a MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. I have completed four artistic residencies, two at Macdowell and two at Yaddo.
